Since 1893, cricket has been part of the fabric of Stanley Park. After the decision to create a more permanent home for the Blackpool Cricket Club, Stanley Park — then known as Whitegate Park — was the chosen venue and it has been our proud base since. It’s played host to Australians on Ashes tours, as well as first-class County Championship action. It’s also the permanent home of the 16-time Northern League champions. With the 2018 cricket season fast approaching, Stanley Park will be a hub of activity once again, but it’s a great place to be year-round and here’s why.
A refurbished multifunctional clubhouse – our Main Bar has four large TV screens, showing all the latest sports on Sky, ESPN, Eurosport and BT Sport. Whether it’s live Twenty20, Premier League or the latest eSports professionals, who you can read up on via the Unibet eSports Champions website, we’ve got you covered.
CAMRA certified – Blackpool Cricket Club has played host to a string of beer festivals in recent years. In 2013, we were named the 2013 Lancashire CAMRA Club of the Year, and our commitment to serving great-tasting ales is as strong today as it was then. From locally brewed ales across Lancashire to guest ales from around the country, we do our best to keep things fresh.
An exciting social schedule – There’s something to keep you entertained at Stanley Park every week. We host popular Quiz Nights on Tuesdays and Fridays, as well as a Chase the Ace competition. Even if we don’t have an event on, the well-stocked bar is open until midnight most evenings, and our Presidents Suite — which overlooks the cricket pitch — is available for hire for private functions.
On-site catering – On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays we welcome Andy and his team at Prestige Catering on-site. With a choice of locally-sourced family favourites at excellent prices, we’re a great place to eat, drink and socialise on weekends.
